Day 16 - Cravings are back

Ahh yes. Don't ask me why, but I was craving mustard today. Weird. It would be much easier to do this in the country... or if I worked from home. I think that the constant bombarding of ads, smells and countless restaurant fronts on my way to and from work is a bit much for a juice feaster. Refraining from watching TV would also help... hehe. But hey, we all have our vices right?

Today I had:

1L water+msm+lemon
1.25L celery/collard greens/parsley+kelp+bee pollen+spirulina
1.25L pineapple/blackberry
750ml coconut water + left over pineapple blackberry juice
750ml carrot/apple

That's all for today. Nothing to report. I'm happy that I've had no stomach pains for the last little while despite having citrus and apples. Yay!

Hi Ben!

Thanks for the note!

Cravings are all a part of detox, and you will watch them come and go...and eventually they will get quieter and quieter. It is great that you are getting loads of juice, one of the best things you can do for cravings is to keep your calories up high. Also, forgive me if you have mentioned this on your blog already, but are you using any super-food powders such as Vitamineral Green....they often help with cravings too. Check out our super foods and supplements page for more info... We have also found that adding a pinch of salt to your juice while experiencing cravings can help loads.

Have you checked out the Positive Diversions file on Day 5 yet? Sounds like you are really busy as it is but often with cravings we just need to change our head space and get onto something relaxing or stimulating depending on mood and time of day.

Happy Juicerama Ottawabama!

Hi Katrina! :) Thanks again for stopping by and giving my some good advice.

I am going to admit to being a bit confused with the superfoods; was I right to assume I could use 2tbsp per day of whichever of the following; E3live, Spirulina, Greener Grasses, Vitamineral Green, etc? I've been using E3live or Spirulina, depending on the day... Is Vitamineral green better?

Thanks again for the cravings advice. As soon as I finish this comment, I'm going to read day 5 :) There's soooo much neat stuff on your website, I've been hopping all over the place, reading whatever seems interesting at the time :)

Can I ask you guys a quick question? Based on my psoriasis and Edgar Cayce's work... when do you think would be a good time to start using slippery elm bark to repair the colon (heal leaky gut syndrome)? I imagine I should wait until most of the toxins are out of my body. I was thinking of starting this on day 30.... Any thoughts?

Thanks again for your guidance and encouragement... it means a lot :)

BJ: New stalkers are always welcome :) It's encouraging!! :)

Hi Ben,

David Rain here. You can start that slippery elm on Day 30. Remember, however, that your best healing is coming from cleaning your intestinal tract and colon completely, restoring your alkalinizing minerals - particularly organic sodium (source: celery), and by adding back in health probiotics (acidophilus and bifidus cultures). Finally, making sure that you are eating an abundant diet of plant-based nutrient-dense foods and superfoods. This is best accomplished with the Four Means to Get Your Greens on Day 83, which will keep your fat content at a good 10-15% level and prevent psoriasis from returning!

Your blog is inspiring!

With peaceful steps,
